Mozilla 1.2.1 Released, too!

Mozilla 1.2.1 was released today to address DHTML issues inadvertently caused by an incorrect backout in the original 1.2 build (Mac|OS X|Win).

Some of us die-hards. ;) Camino is it for me. Once you've used tabs, there's just no going back (though I much prefer Camino/Chimera's handling of tabbed browsing over all others).

I spent an hour last week fighting with IE 6 over a layout issue that ended up due to errant white space between tags. I'd expect this kind of thing in a 5-year old browser like NS 4.x, but not in the latest and supposed greatest from MS. sigh. If there's ever been a need for proof that competition drives innovation and improvement, and the lack of which stifles same, then may I present to you Internet Explorer 6?

Google's Zeitgeist has an amazing chart of their browser trafic that shows the utter domination of the PC IE 6. On the bright side of things, note that January '03 marks the point where newer model Netscape/Mozilla traffic first begin to surpass that of the ancient and decrepit NS 4.x browsers.

Friends don't let friends use NS 4.x...
